Historique :	Ces tapisseries peuvent être rapprochées d'une autre tapisserie conservée au monastère Sainte-Claire du Puy-en-Velay (PM43000547). Tout laisse à supposer que cet ensemble aurait dû figurer, comme dans beaucoup de monastères ou d'abbayes, dans la salle capitulaire, ce lieu étant en règle générale, plus particulièrement soigné dans sa décoration. Or, ces tapisseries ont été vues en place dans le réfectoire des Clarisses jusqu'au début du siècle.
