Historique :	L'orgue de Saint-Ilpize est à rapprocher des exemplaires de Saint-Saturnin, Vabres (15) et Mazeyrat-d'Allier (43), autres manifestations en Auvergne de la facture mirecourtiens de petits orgues à manivelles. Oeuvre exécutée entre 1819 et 1832. L'historique de l'orgue est mal connu : on ne sait pas dans quelles circosntances il a été acquis. Il pourrait être attribué à François-Goëry Dumont. Il s'agit d'un des premiers orgues à manivelle répertoriés en France, comme celui de Saint-Chaffrey (05). La tuyauterie est complète.
