Historique :	Cette statuette semble provenir d'un petit retable ou d'une niche portative tels qu'en exportaient les ateliers de sculpture flamands à la fin du Moyen Age.

Précision sur_l'état :	Selon toute vraisemblance, l'ange Gabriel avait comme pendant la Vierge dans le thème de l'Annonciation. Il manque la main gauche et les ailes qui s'inséraient dans deux fentes visibles au dos de la statue. Bois vermoulu, pulvérulent en plusieurs endroits. Altération de la polychromie et de la dorure.
